A Fresh Start
A lot has changed since I first started this blog almost two years ago. In the ‘about me’ section I opened by asking the question: Who is this Blogger? Well.. I have a new answer to that question.
While I am still a 20-something year old- I am no longer in college at Southern Methodist University, nor am I living in Dallas, Texas anymore. Instead I am settled in Washington, DC. I work in Republican politics and never could have imagined the journey that I would have been on the last two years when this blog first began.
Nonetheless, I love this city, I have great friends, and I hope to learn a lot and maybe even have something to give back. The whole reason I am in Washington DC and involved in politics started about 10 years ago, or maybe even before that. My freshman or sophmore year of high school at chapel one of the students inspired us to make a difference with our lives, that whatever career path we chose to impact the world. For me, a light bulb went off right there that said “politics is the vehicle I want to use to make a difference.” And I have loved and pursued political change ever since.
Let me make one thing clear: I don’t have any intention of using this blog to regurgitate any of the information that is already crowding the Internet, media and other blogs or what have you. Instead, If I am going to share my thoughts with the world about politics, music, life or anything else I am doing so as an attempt to contribute something to the conversation and not just repeat an article or complain.
So here is to a fresh start with this blog, a new job and having something worthwhile to contribute!
