Book Review
Recently when I was getting ready to travel back to California for Thanksgiving I needed to pick up a book to pass the time while flying across the country all day. I stopped in a local bookstore with my roommate while we were out and scanned the shelf of “New York Times Bestsellers.” A book caught my eye that I had seen before but had yet to read. I picked up Same Kind of Different As Me and scanned the back cover. It gave a brief description and review but not enough to tell whether I would enjoy the plot or theme. Nonetheless I didn’t see anything else that caught my eye so I decided to purchase it for the flight.
I started reading the book and was amazed at the events in this real life account of the lives of the men and could not put the book down, so much so that I finished it before I ever landed in California.
I encourage you to check out this amazing book and hope that you will be inspired as I was with the painful life experiences, changed lives, and mission to love others.
I cried multiple times while reading this book, so much so that I am sure I freaked out the women sitting next to me on the plane. It was clear I was emotional about the book I was reading. However every time I set the book down to recompose myself, I did so only to pick it back up again because it was such a good read.
