My Fall Fashion Finds
I really don’t go shopping that often. Only a couple of times a year. However, my closets and dresser (and yes, even under my bed) are jammed with skirts, dresses, shoes, jeans and even some of those college greek t-shirts. Some things dressy, some things tailored but it’s all things I’ve accumulated over time and because I really only buy things I love, I don’t throw a lot of things out.
However, I had reached a point where I was saving things that I knew I hadn’t worn in years and in an old Georgetown row house like mine, storage space is precious. So, I tackled some much-needed fall cleaning. Then last weekend, I did some shopping and filled most of the space I had cleared. I was feeling gross and dreading the cooler weather because I never feel like my clothes are as cute as in the summer. It is so nice in the warmer months to just be able to throw on a dress and head out. In the winter, it is much more complicated to combine form and function. You can be warm, but you will be frumpy. Or you can look cute, but be guaranteed to freeze. So I did some strolling to see if I could find a few winter pieces to add to my wardrobe, that will get me through the depressing months ahead!
Below are some of my finds…

Spring Time Cravings…
In the Spring time I am always in the mood to find a few things to spruce up my wardrobe. Here are some staples I think I will be adding to my closet.

Milly Forever!
If I could wear one brand for the rest of my life it would be Milly!

I love the brand so much-all the tailored details of each piece, the colors and fabrics. I always feel great wearing Milly. These are two pieces from her resort/pre-spring collection that I picked up at Bergdorf while I was in New York last weekend. If only I could afford the whole collection!

“Running with Raccoon”
Being that I was an Indian (Native American) for Halloween I needed a name to go along with my identity for the evening. As a result some of my boyfriend’s roommates came up with the name, “Running with Raccoon,” thus the title of this blog post.
Being that this past weekend was the last weekend of October that can only mean costumes, festive parties and the anticipation of how everything will come together and turn out. This year consisted of grilling and pre-partying in Glover Park before taking a bus to the big Halloween party downtown at the DC City Museum, which was a very cool venue for a Halloween party.
I did not get pictures of all of the crazy, interesting, and bizarre costumes that appeared Saturday night but I did take a few pictures earlier in the night…

I stumbled upon the blog, This Is Glamorous, through a chain of other blogs that I follow and saw so many great ideas and beautiful things! One being this amazing dress worn by Cate Blanchett… I love the detail and low back, definitely fitting to be on This Is Glamorous!
