Design Website
If you know me well, you know that I love interior design, architecture and real estate. If I had the option for a double life I would own my own company that incorporated these loves of mine. Until that day happens, most likely never, I will appreciate all the beautiful buildings and style that surround me in Washington, DC, keep my eye on the real estate section of the paper and stalk design blogs and websites.
One of my favorite design websites is Ballad Designs. A more traditional and romantic version to the popular Pottery Barn, Ballard Design has beautifully shaped furniture, pretty lamps and mirrors and while the site feels very custom, does not have outrageous price tags.
Some of the things on my virtual Wish List:
Ok, so basically I would buy the entire catalogue, this would just be a start!

Inspiration Table: Sister’s Bridal Shower Brunch
All-
I am taking some design inspiration from the ever-classy Eddie Ross. I saw this table presentation in more than one place in the blogesphere and couldn’t help but want to re-create it. I love the pale blues and bright pink, print tablecloths and silver details.
My sister’s bachelorette weekend was a little over a week ago and apart of the festivities including hosting a bridal shower brunch at my house. All the girls (who could make it) came into DC for the weekend and we had such a good time.
My interpretation came out a bit differently as the colors of the invites and party were red and blue, but what do you think?
I used vintage tablecloths with red and blue flowers, vintage blue glass goblets and cream colored plates. The cream and sugar was antique milk glass.

Friday Find: Etsy Shop
So a have a small collection of milk glass pieces that I have received from my Nonni (Italian Grandmother) and other family over the last several years. At first I didn’t think I like milk glass that much, but it has grown on me and now I’m thinking of other pieces I can add.
Most recently, I found on Etsy a milk glass cream and sugar set.
Mostly I just love cream and white pottery and serve ware. I hope to have a collection like this one day:
Happy Friday!!! The weather is great in DC, I have pulled out the summer dresses and no more tights or scarves! I hope to wander some antique shops this weekend too!

The mirror and lamps are found at Z Gallery and I think they would look great with unique antiques.

Inspiration
I love exploring blogs and especially ones that show peoples’ creativity and design spaces. I live vicariously through people that are decorating their own homes or spaces. I live for the day when I will have a house of my own that I can afford to decorate however I want. But in the meantime I am learning a lot about what I like, what I don’t and what creative things people do with their spaces.
Things I love right now…
Not sure which one I like more.. the Grey/Green or the Blue and Red.
Inspiration Workspace…
I love coffee table settings. Especially the one below with the coral, organized magazines, soft flowers, and photos.

Blog Crush
I could spend hours mulling over blogs and only begin to scratch the surface of things that show peoples’ creativity and inspire me! I wanted to share a blog with you of an Australian-native who just moved to New York City and loves interior design: Bandella Blog. In the blog below, she shares a room that inspires her and I would love to re-create too- my favorite colors! Bandella Blog – Blue Dining Room

Jonathan Adler

Love Jar
I am a huge fan of Jonathan Adler designs! I have been to his store on Fillmore Street just down from my sister’s apartment in San Fran and also love the store Tabletop here in Dupont Circle that carries some of his pieces.
But the true reason why I am sharing him with you is because he is having a sale on his website! check out some of my favorites.
