The Meaning Behind It All
So I have been asked a few times where the title of my blog comes from. I picked this name for multiple reasons.
This blog started when I was in college and living in my sorority house, Delta Gamma, who’s symbol is the anchor. However, calling the blog Anchored was not just in reference to my sorority symbol. It was about being anchored in something or more specifically, someone.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ and call myself a Christian. I believe Jesus is who he claimed to be and that I am ‘forgiven because He was forsaken.” I use the term ‘Anchored’ to mean that my foundation as a believer in Christ means in nothing else do I receive significance. Its not about religion, it’s about a relationship.
My prayer would be that my life would express my love for God and love for others. That I would live in the freedom that is found in God’s grace. And that my life would glorify and point to God- to make Him known.
I constantly fail, miserably at that, and am far from perfect. But because of God’s unconditional love and mercy He has made himself known and wants us to know Him. It’s about responding to His invitation to have a relationship with Him.
